Seedings are everything in the WPIAL brackets, but they don’t mean a thing when it comes to the Trib 10.

These weekly power rankings arrive right between the end of the regular season and the start of the District 7 postseason.

Very little change has taken place in the calm before the playoff storm, with only the Quaker Valley boys making their season debut in the Trib 10.

Upper St. Clair was given the top seed in Class 6A as the Panthers enjoy a second straight week at No. 1 on the boys side of the power rankings.

Meanwhile, South Fayette continues to hold down the top spot on the girls side.

We should be through the opening round of the WPIAL playoffs before next week’s ranking come out.

Here are the latest Trib 10 basketball power rankings with overall record and last week’s ranking. These rankings have zero classification boundaries.
