The Armstrong County Sports Hall of Fame will celebrate 10 athletic greats with induction in its Class of 2026.

Laina Walker Connor (Elderton, softball and volleyball), Tom Edgington (Worthington, archery and bowhunting), Jim Kunst (Kittanning, basketball), Richard McKernan (Ford City, sports officiating/football coach), Stephen Predebon (Leechburg, basketball), Matt Myers (Ford City, football), John Riggle (Apollo, football), Jennifer Lynn Sproull (Freeport, basketball and track and field), Shauna Troup (Elderton, softball) and Brian Walker (Elderton, softball/traveling league) will be enshrined at a banquet and ceremony at 4 p.m. April 26 at Laube Hall in Freeport Area Community Park.

The hall of fame also will recognize 10 senior student-athletes from the five high schools which serve various communities of Armstrong County and award a total of $10,000 in scholarships.
