The battle cry for the elite boys basketball teams in Pennsylvania could be, “We are through the first round of the district playoffs and all is well.”
Thanks in part to byes and small playoff fields, the top 30 teams in the Trib HSSN boys basketball rankings pretty much remain the same as the district playoffs kick into full gear over the next week and a half.
Outside of a later regular season loss by Elk County Catholic in Class A that dropped them a couple of spots, the song remains the same for the other 29 teams.
There were no changes at the top for the first time in several weeks in Class 6A and 5A.
At the top remains Imhotep Institute Charter in 6A, Neumann-Goretti in 5A, Cathedral Prep in 4A, Mohawk in 3A, Delone Catholic in 2A and Sankofa Freedom Academy in A still at No. 1.
