Former Waynesburg coach Cornelius Coleman was named defensive line coach at Robert Morris. It will be his third stint with the Colonials. He first worked at RMU in 2001 as intramural sports director and later spent four seasons from 2003-07 as defensive line coach.

A Waynesburg graduate, Coleman played four seasons at defensive end for the Yellow Jackets, earning all-Presidents’ Athletic Conference honors and Division III All-America honorable mention.

He was fired in November as coach at Waynesburg following his third 4-6 season in four years. His overall record with the Yellow Jackets was 14-26.

Larry Wilson, a former Frazier High School coach who spent last season as an assistant at Division II PennWest Clarion, was named as Coleman’s successor at Waynesburg.

In addition to Robert Morris, Coleman also has served on the coaching staffs at Pitt, Duquesne, Saint Vincent and Averett.

FCS Robert Morris finished 3-9 (2-5 Northeast Conference) last season under Bernard Clark Jr., who will enter his ninth year as Colonials coach in 2026.
