The bald eagle pair nesting near U.S. Steel’s Irving Plant named Irvin and Stella have officially welcomed their first egg of the season.
This marks the seventh season for Irvin at the nest and the second season for Irvin and Stella as a couple, according to U.S. Steel’s announcement.
The egg could hatch in as little as 35 days if it is viable — and would be the ninth eaglet born at the nest.
In 2025, Irvin and Stella hatched and raised their eaglet named Ocho.
People can watch the nest at the U.S. Steel Bald Eagle Nest Cam, which can be viewed here.
