Five productive offensive football players from WPIAL schools were among the 19 individuals selected to the West roster Tuesday for the annual Pennsylvania State Football Coaches Association East-West Big School all-star game. The small school teams were announced Monday.

The West squad will face a team from the East on May 17 at Cumberland Valley High School in Mechanicsburg. Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m. The small school game kicks off at noon.

Headlining the list are Trinity quarterback Jonah Williamson, Montour running back Caden Halajcio, Peters Township running back Cole Neupaver, Gateway wide receiver Shawn Moorefield Jr. and Mars wide receiver Gabe Hein.

Williamson, a Harvard commit, completed 103 of 166 passes for 1,494 yards and 20 touchdowns last season. He rushed for 1,000 yards and scored 17 touchdowns.

Halajcio, a Slippery Rock commit, rushed for 1,238 yards and 15 touchdowns. Neupaver ran for 1,454 yards and 28 touchdowns.

Moorefield Jr., who will play at West Liberty, had 64 catches for 992 yards and 11 touchdowns. Hein had 57 catches for 952 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Gateway and Mars each had three players named while Hempfield, Norwin and Peters Township had two each.

The other Gateway players were lineman Kaiyen Mbandi and Roberson Louis-Jeune, while the other Mars players were offensive lineman Sean Franklin and defensive lineman Adam Budzilek.

Joining Neupaver from Peters Township was safety Lucas Rost.

Norwin’s selections were tight end Josh Lenart and punter Evan Pfeifer.

Selected from Hempfield were defensive lineman Brock Heisler, a Harvard commit, and cornerback Henry Mutschler.

Also selected were North Allegheny defensive end Owen Urschler, Aliquippa inside linebacker Cleaster Longmire, North Hills inside linebacker Joseph Lutz, Pine-Richland outside linebacker Grant Pillar and Moon cornerback Jayden Revis.

Allderdice coach Mark Matson and Central Catholic coach Ryan Lehmeier are assistant coaches.
