Miley Cyrus will once again step into her famous blonde wig pop star persona for a “Hannah Montana” 20th anniversary special airing on Disney in March.

“Hannah Montana” first aired on March 24, 2006 on Disney Channel.

The anniversary special, which Disney said will air this March 24, will be filmed in front of a live studio audience and be hosted by “Call Her Daddy” podcaster Alex Cooper to “celebrate the iconic series that defined a generation.”

Cyrus will undergo an “exclusive, in-depth interview” during the anniversary special, according to the announcement.

“The conversation will offer an intimate look at the creation of one of pop culture’s most iconic characters and the lasting impact the show and character have had on fans around the world,” Disney said. “With heartfelt nostalgia and fresh perspective, Cyrus will revisit the moments, music and memories that defined an era.”

Also within the anniversary special, never-before-seen archival footage from the TV show will be shown, and some of the most memorable “Hannah Montana” sets will be brought back to life, including the famous Stewart family living room and Hannah Montana closet.

“There will also be some familiar notes that find their way back into the spotlight,” Disney said as well.

“‘Hannah Montana’ will always be a part of who I am. What started as a TV show became a shared experience that shaped my life and the lives of so many fans, and I’ll always be thankful for that connection,” said Cyrus in the announcement. “The fact that it still means so much to people all these years later is something I’m very proud of. This ‘Hannahversary’ is my way of celebrating and thanking the fans who’ve stood by me for 20 years.”

“Hannah Montana,” which is an Emmy-nominated series, spawned 14 platinum and 18 gold albums worldwide, as well as two feature films, Disney said.

Alongside the written announcement, the Disney , Cyrus, Cooper, Disney Channel and Disney accounts on Instagram released a collaborative post, with the caption: “Going back to where it all began.”

The post, which is a short video clip of heeled boots stepping out of a limo set to a snippet of title track “The Best of Both Worlds,” has amassed over 3.9 million likes and 86,000 comments.
