They trail only North Catholic (23) and Vincentian Academy (11) for most in WPIAL girls basketball history. … The Cougars are making their 14th appearance in the district final. … Blackhawk has rolled to an undefeated record by outscoring opponents 60.5-30.9 on average. … The Cougars won Section 2 at 12-0. … Aubree Hupp, a Canisius recruit and two-time all-state honoree, will start in a fourth straight WPIAL championship game. She had 29 points and 21 rebounds in the semifinals. She averaged 21.2 ppg this season. … Freshman forward Gracen Sehn, at 6-foot, has joined Hupp as talented inside presence.
