Members of the North Hills School Board were in for a treat at their Feb. 19 meeting as third graders from Ross Elementary School shared a preview of “The Jukebox Time Machine,” a musical performance showcasing the decades through songs and skits.
The students staged the event the following evening in their school’s auditorium. The production featured nine shows from the 1930s to the 2000s, including “Splish Splash” and “Breakaway.”
“The kids have done such an amazing job. It makes me emotional to think about how hard they have worked,” said Maura Rushlander, a music teacher at Ross Elementary School.
It’s musical season across the school district.
North Hills High School will present its spring musical — “Mamma Mia!” — at 7:30 p.m. March 13-14 and 19-21 and 1:30 p.m. March 15. Tickets are available on the North Hills Choir and Drama website at nhchoiranddrama.net. Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for students and senior citizens.
