Cabin Fever Reliever Raffle event to benefit HOPE Center
Alle-Kiski HOPE Center Inc. will host its annual Cabin Fever Reliever raffle event from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Natrona Heights Veterans of Foreign Wars, 894 Veterans Lane, Harrison.
There will be door prizes, a basket raffle and a cash bar. Tickets cost $20 each and include food, non-alcoholic beverages and a chance to win a door prize.

Free seminar to discuss backyard composting
Armstrong County residents are welcome to attend a free seminar about backyard composting from 6 to 8 p.m. March 11 at Armsdale Conference Room, 124 Armsdale Road, Rayburn Township.
Dinner will be served and those attending will receive a free 43-gallon tumbling composter, a soil test kit and composting guides. The equipment will fit into the back of a standard car.

Resources available for expecting and new parents
The Babies in the Burgh Mobile Unit from Beverly’s PGH will stop from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 10 at Family Life Network, 1155 Wildlife Lodge Road, Lower Burrell.
The unit provides free support for expecting parents or families caring for a baby who is under the age of 1 year including infant formula, breastfeeding support, baby items and resources.
