Jeannette’s Natalie Christoff and New Castle’s Jeffrey Natale won Western PA Regional singles bowling titles Saturday.

The boys and girls singles matches featured matchups of the top two bowlers in qualifying.

On the girls side, Apollo-Ridge’s Allison Beighley led qualifying with a five-game series of 1,000 with a 223 high game. Christoff was second with a 974 series and 234 high game.

Christoff defeated Beighley, 182-176, in the finals.

On the boys side, Serra Catholic’s Preston Smith led the way in qualifying with a 1,157 series and 258 high game. Natale was second with a 1,067 series and 257 high game.

Natale struck on his first two balls in the 10th frame to defeat Smith in the finals 172-167.

Both girls quarterfinals featured matchups between teammates. Hempfield’s Ashley Bensur defeated Amelia Droste, and Deer Lakes’ Sydney Sharkins beat Tessa Lovich.

The other finalists in the top 12 in qualifying were McDowell’s Taylor Kretz, Thomas Jefferson’s Annalise Williams, Freeport’s Kylie McConahy, Valley’s Emmi Diehm, East Allegheny’s Madison Grudowski and Hempfield’s Clara Carmichael.

For the boys, Belle Vernon teammates Kaden Coughanour and Jordan Sisley reached the quarterfinals, and Plum’s Brian Krall and Connellsville’s Toby Soltis reached the semifinals.

The other finalists in the top 12 were Valley’s Baxter Diehm, Ellwood City’s Brendan Allison, Moon’s Hayden Miller, Penn-Trafford’s Gavin Hultz and Meadville teammates Levi Mattocks and Landon Plyler.
