The Northeast Conference announced its 2026 conference football schedule Monday, with opponents and dates set for both Duquesne and Robert Morris.

The Dukes host four NEC games at Rooney Field this upcoming fall, beginning with LIU on Oct. 10, followed by Wagner on Oct. 24, Robert Morris on Nov. 7 and Mercyhurst on Nov. 14. Duquesne plays on the road at Stonehill (Oct. 17) and New Haven (Oct. 31) and wraps up its conference slate Nov. 21 at Central Connecticut State.

Robert Morris opens its season with a road NEC contest at Wagner on Aug. 29. The Colonials’ NEC home opener at Joe Walton Stadium is Oct. 17 vs. New Haven, followed by a visit from Mercyhurst on Oct. 24.

A road game at Central Connecticut State follows Oct. 31 and the next week, Robert Morris plays at Duquesne before hosting Stonehill (Nov. 14) and LIU (Nov. 21).

Per FBSchedules, nonconference opponents for Duquesne in 2026 are Air Force (Sept. 5), Youngstown State (Sept. 12) and Washington State (Sept. 19), all on the road.

The Colonials host West Virginia State on Sept. 5 for their home opener, followed by road games at Akron (Sept. 12) and Buffalo (Sept. 26). Robert Morris also faces two Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference foes: Norfolk State (Oct. 3, home) and Morgan State (Oct. 10, away).

Duquesne is 15-8 all-time vs. Robert Morris on the gridiron dating to 1994. The Dukes have won the last two matchups with their crosstown foes in 2024 and 2025, with last year’s game ending on a game-winning field goal to beat the Colonials.
