Burrell HS cabaret concert to raise funds for scholarships
Burrell High School choirs will present a cabaret concert, “March Melodies,” at 7 p.m. Friday in the high school cafeteria, Puckety Church Road, Lower Burrell.
Admission is $10, $5 for students, and includes a dessert. Proceeds will be used to support senior scholarships.
Donations welcome for Leechburg PATH program
The Leechburg Food Bank and Leechburg Area School District sponsor the Providing Alternatives to Hunger “PATH” program for children in the district. The program provides a weekend bag of nourishing food and supplements to the free or reduced lunch program children receive during the week.
To donate, mail a check made out to Leechburg Food Bank with “Community PATH” in the memo area to Leechburg Food Bank Treasurer, P.O. Box 127, Leechburg PA 15656. To sponsor a child, send a note with your check and include the name and address of the sponsor. Each child’s PATH bag costs $4 per week. Each child receives one bag per week, 50 weeks of the year.
