Dominic Petrucci and Cooper Cox scored 10 seconds apart late in the second period to lead defending champion Morgantown to a 4-1 victory over Deer Lakes in the PIHL Division 2 hockey playoffs Wednesday night.

No. 8 Deer Lakes (9-12) scored first on a goal by Brayden Wilhelm less than three minutes into the game and held that lead until Justin Daffner tied it with 6:28 left in the second period. Petrucci gave Morgantown (17-3-1) the lead with 2:11 left and Cox followed with 2:01 to go.

Luke Quigley added a third-period goal for Morgantown. Keaton Minnick made 34 saves for Deer Lakes.
