Two workers were fired from working at a Smoothie King shop in Michigan after they refused to serve a Trump supporter.

The incident took place at an Ann Arbor location and was posted Monday on TikTok, the Detroit Free Press reported. The video shows what appears to be a couple arguing with two Smoothie King employees about not being served due to the customer wearing a hoodie in support of President Donald Trump, the Free Press said.

“TikTok please bring light to this situation. My husband and I were refused service because of a hoodie! How discriminating is this! @smoothieking do better! What happened to land of the free because of the brave,” the customer posted on the social media site, according to the Free Press.

USA Today posted the video on its TikTok page.

Smoothie King announced on Monday via its social media page on X that the franchise owner took “immediate action and the two employees involved are no longer with the business.”

“As a brand, Smoothie King is committed to ensuring our stores are a place free of discrimination of any kind, where every guest and team member is treated with care and respect,” the post reads. “Both the franchise owner and Smoothie King corporate have reached out to the guest several times to apologize and will continue to follow up.

“The local owner is also taking further action and enforcing mandatory retraining for all employees that outlines our guest experience standards.”
