History Uncorked

This annual soiree is always a great time at the Heinz History Center. The theme for this year’s 21 party is “LEGENDARY” and will celebrate the figures that made and make the Steel City great.

Featuring delicious bites from a variety of local eateries, dancing with tunes by DJ Cake and the chance to explore all six floors of the History Center, this will be a night to remember. Don’t forget to try tasty libations, bid in the silent auction, pose in the photo booth and try your hand at some legendary trivia.

Cody Johnson

Country star Cody Johsnon will be bringing his brand of twang to PPG Paints Arena Friday night. The singer has released 10 studio albums in the past 20 years, won a handful of CMA Awards and has sold out venues all over the world.

With his contemporary style that adds in a little throwback, he enchants country-loving audiences everywhere. He’ll be hitting PPG Paints Arena for a show that was rescheduled from last October, along with special guests Kip Moore and Walker Montgomery. The show will start at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Seed Swap

Now that the weather is warming up, it’ll be time to plant gardens and watch flowers bloom before we know it. This Saturday, Grow Pittsburgh and Phipps Conservatory will be hosting their Celebration of Seeds at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh Main Branch in Oakland.

Gardeners can bring their own seeds to share, but there will also be offerings from other gardeners, farmers and organizations with a new batch released every half hour. They will also host three workshops on Seed Starting, Organic Gardening Basics and Seed Saving Basics throughout the event.

International Guitar Night

There are so many dimensions to one instrument, and talented musicians will be putting many of them on display at this dynamic concert. Performers from Brazil, Russia, Vietnam and more will play guitar in styles from rock to flamenco to traditional classical to contemporary. There will even be a ukulele player from Hawaii featured in this performance.

‘Infinite Life’

It’s Women’s History Month, and this is a play that is essentially about women and the inner workings of their lives and relationships. Directed by Patrick Jordan and produced by barebones productions, this will be a hilarious and poignant show for everyone.

Featuring local talents including Tami Dixon and Karla Payne, “Infinite Life” is about five women takes a glimpse into their lives and difficult conversations. It aims to be real, awkward, funny and thoughtful.
