A 19-year-old man is suspected of stabbing a 17-year-old boy outside Target in East Liberty early Saturday morning, according to Pittsburgh police.
Police responded to the reported stabbing in the 6200 block of Penn Avenue just after 2 a.m.
According to police, officers found about 200 youth fleeing the area, where they had been watching vehicles doing donuts and burnouts in the street.
The 17-year-old was found with stab wounds to his back. He was taken to a hospital in stable condition, police said.
The 19-year-old suspect had been punched, kicked and pistol-whipped by about 10 people, police said. He was taken to a separate hospital in stable condition.
No arrests had been made. An ongoing investigation includes reviewing multiple sources of video of the incident, police said.
