Outside of No. 7 seed Latrobe in Class 2A, there have been no major surprises through the quarterfinals in the 2026 PIHL hockey playoffs.
Many of the top four seeds have advanced to the Final Four in the Penguins Cup playoffs, set to take place at RMU Sports Complex on Neville Island from Monday through Thursday.
A new champ will be crowned in 2A after Cathedral Prep fell, but the other three reigning champions — Seneca Valley in 3A, Avonworth in A and Morgantown in D-II — are semifinals-bound.
