The Ligonier Country Market board of directors announced Monday that the popular event will move to the Waterford section of Ligonier Township for the 2026 season.

“After careful consideration, we have decided to begin the 2026 market season at a new home and to partner with the Ligonier Township VFD No. 1 Waterford,” the board said in a statement.

The market has operated on Loyalhanna Watershed Association property adjacent to Ligonier Borough for 24 years, but the two entities struggled to approve a new lease agreement.

The market’s new home will be at 44 Fire Hall Road, beginning with the May 16 season opener.

A separate “Spring Market” remains scheduled for March 14 at Ligonier Valley High School.

“This move allows the market to remain in Ligonier Township, as it has for 50 years, while also bringing business and awareness to other, less-explored parts of Ligonier,” the statement said. “Many locals hold cherished memories of events at this location, and we’re looking forward to continuing those traditions.”
