Those who watched President Trump’s State of the Union Address witnessed the disrespectful and unhinged behavior of the Democrats in attendance. Over 70 Democratic representatives chose to not attend, and instead held their own rallies, with bizarre singing, dancing and people in animal costumes. Those in attendance were disruptive and disrespectful and acted like petulant children.
One Democratic representative was ejected from the chamber within minutes for displaying a sign that I thought was racist.
The other Democrats refused to stand and recognize the mother of a beautiful young Ukrainian woman who was brutally killed on public transportation in Charlotte, N.C., allegedly by a career criminal who was repeatedly released after multiple arrests. They refused to stand and recognize a military pilot seriously wounded in battle, a 101-year-old hero Navy pilot, a young National Guard soldier wounded in Washington, D.C., while assisting law enforcement during a shooting incident in which an Afghan immigrant has been charged, and a young girl seriously injured in a car crash caused by an illegal immigrant.
When the president asked all in the gallery to stand if they felt the first obligation of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal immigrants, the Democrats sat silent. In my opinion, they care more about illegal immigrants and criminals than about law-abiding citizens. Remember this behavior in November when you cast your ballot.
