I read the story about the little girl killed by a drunk driver; her name was Roxanne Bonnoni (“Drunk driver who killed Harrison girl, 11, gets 3-6 months in jail,” Feb. 26, TribLive). My husband, Daniel A. Predajna, was killed by a drunk driver who was drag racing and didn’t have insurance, and who never served a day in jail. I was only married one year. My husband was a wonderful man. I never got over it. It was back in 1968.
The poor girl. The guy that killed her got 3 to 6 months in jail. His attorney said it was an accident. What? He killed that girl. He took a life. What is our law coming to?
The family of the dead pay the price.
