Woman injured in shooting in Larimer
A woman was hurt in a shooting Tuesday evening in Larimer, according to Pittsburgh police.
She was taken by Pittsburgh EMS to a hospital where she was listed in stable condition with a wound to her left thigh and buttock area.
Police said she was found inside a home on Auburn Street just before 6 p.m. Multiple shell casings were found in the street and the home where she was found was struck by bullets.
First responders were sent to the scene after police reported receiving ShotSpotter alerts totaling 13 rounds. No arrests were announced by police.
Gateway Clipper boat damaged in fire
A Gateway Clipper tugboat was damaged in a fire Tuesday evening, according to TribLive news partner WTAE.
The fire was contained to the engine room area of the boat, known as Empress II, while it was at the Gateway Clipper’s dock in Station Square on the Monongahela River, Pittsburgh Public Safety officials told the news station.
Light smoke was seen coming from the top floor of the tugboat around 5:30 p.m. In a statement to WTAE, the Gateway Clipper said no one was hurt.
“We are incredibly grateful for the swift action of our crew members, who train regularly for these types of situations,” the statement said. “Additionally, we praise the professionalism of our local fire, emergency and regulatory teams. The safety of our crew, passengers and community is always our top priority.”
Unclaimed Cash 5 jackpot sold in Cranberry nears expiration
A Cash 5 jackpot-winning ticket worth $400,000 that was sold in Cranberry is nearing its expiration date, according to the Pennsylvania Lottery.
The unclaimed ticket was sold April 3 by Valero Neil Enterprise, also known as Super Mini Mart, on Freedom Road. The ticket matched all five balls drawn that day — 3-10-12-30-37.
The Pennsylvania Lottery gives draw game players up to one year to claim their winnings. If the Cash 5 prize isn’t claimed by April 3, the money will remain in the Lottery Fund, officials said.
