Seminar to discuss college financial aid

A financial aid seminar with the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. March 30 at Northern Westmoreland Career and Technology Center, 705 Stevenson Blvd., New Kensington.

Sponsored by Pa. Rep. Jill Cooper, the event is intended to help next year’s high school seniors navigate the world of college financing; however, current seniors are welcome.

Annual Shamrock Shuffle event planned

The Shamrock Shuffle 5K and 1-mile Fun Walk will begin at 10 a.m. March 21 at West Leechburg Volunteer Firehall, 1116 Gosser St.

Check-in will start at 9 a.m. The course will run through the streets of West Leechburg and return to the firehall. A virtual option is also available. Cost is $25 for the live 5K, and $20 for the live Family Walk and both virtual events.
