Some NFL players, including former Pittsburgh Steeler Ryan Clark, aren’t too happy with a new video posted by the White House.

The clip juxtaposes college and pro football highlights with footage of apparent U.S. military strikes in Iran.

Posted March 6 on an official White House account, the clip is set to AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck” and shows punishing hits from football players. Interspersed in the highlight reel is footage of the word “unclassified” and explosions.

The few seconds involving Clark show him slamming into a New England Patriots player during an away game.

The former Steelers safety criticized having football highlights associated with military strikes as insensitive.

“There are families here in our country whose loved ones have decided to give their life to fight for our rights and our freedoms who don’t see war as a sport,” he said on The Pivot Podcast. “War doesn’t deserve a highlight film.”

Clark said he was disappointed the video was created and called it “absolutely disgusting and despicable.”

“For our regime to be as unserious, as unprofessional, as laughable and as illegitimate as our leadership is right now, is embarrassing,” he said.

The video has collected more than 10.5 million views on X as of Friday morning.

Other college and NFL players who appear in it, including retired Ravens defensive players Ray Lewis and Ed Reed, have criticized the video and said the NFL and other rights holders should seek removal through legal means, The Washington Post reported.

Reed posted on X: “I do not approve this message.”

The Post reported the NFL didn’t respond to requests for comment. The league is typically protective of its copyrighted material online. The White House declined to comment on the players’ concern, the Post reported.

Other videos posted by the White House have taken clips from movies such as “Braveheart” and “Superman” and Major League Baseball home runs and mixed them with declassified Iran war explosions, reported the Associated Press.
