Production is underway on the fifth and final season of Paramount ’s “Mayor of Kingstown” with actor David Morse (“The Last Thing He Told Me”) returning to Pittsburgh for the new series regular role of Russell Hardy, a seasoned FBI agent.

Morse, who is from Philadelphia, previously starred in “Outsiders,” which was also filmed in Pittsburgh, for two seasons.

The logline for the eight-episode fifth season of “Kingstown” reads, “In the wake of Tracy’s murder and the vengeance visited upon Callahan by Mike (Jeremy Renner) and Kyle (Taylor Handley), FBI agent Russell Hardy (Morse) arrives in Kingstown searching for the ‘fugitive’ Callahan. A true lawman, Agent Hardy threatens to unearth all of Mike’s sins and secrets and disrupt Kingstown’s tenuous balance of power.”

In addition to Renner, Handley and Morse, the season five cast will include Edie Falco, Laura Benanti, Hugh Dillon, Tobi Bamtefa and Derek Webster. Necar Zadegan, Nichole Galicia and Lennie James will also return.

An eighth season of “Love Island USA” will stream on Peacock at 9 p.m. June 2. … Beginning April 10, Amazon’s Prime Video ad-free subscription will increase in price from $3 per month to $5 per month and it will be rebranded as Prime Video Ultra. In addition, subscribers will get access to five concurrent streams (previously three), up to 100 downloads for offline viewing (previously 25) and access to 4k/UHD streaming, per Variety.
