Help available for property tax, rent rebates
The staff from Pa. Rep. Mandy Steele’s office will be available to assist with property tax and rent rebates from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at Community Library of Allegheny Valley, 1522 Broadview Blvd., Harrison.
Applicants must be at least 65 years old, a widow or widower who is at least 50 years old, or disabled and at least 18 years old. Bring proof of Social Security or railroad retirement, proof of SSI or disability, a photo ID, 1099 statement, proof of income and a voided check.
No reservations are required; just drop in.
St. Patrick’s Day flood program planned in Apollo
Apollo Area Historical Society will host a program about the 1936 St. Patrick’s Day flood at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the WCTU Building, 317 N. Second St., Apollo.
The program will include an imaginary walk through the streets of Apollo and a movie shot in the borough during the flood. Donations will be accepted.
