Sen. John Fetterman was elected to Congress because when campaigning he promised to support issues like raising the minimum wage, helping make unions strong, reforming the criminal justice system, and promoting LGBTQ and abortion rights. But now, instead of fighting for those crucial matters, he is spending his time advocating for President Trump’s war. He is the only Democrat to consistently approve of Trump’s questionable actions, voting no on the war powers resolution which would have blocked Trump from carrying out additional attacks against Iran without congressional approval.

I believe Fetterman has abandoned the principles on which he was elected, and so less than a third of Democrats in Pennsylvania support him. Regrettably a senator cannot be impeached for abandoning constituents (a senator can be expelled but it’s a very difficult process).

So what to do with Fetterman? Only one thing left. He must resign.
