Bridgeville officials are considering rules to prohibit on-street parking and storage of large equipment.

Council is considering a proposal that would prohibit on-street parking and storage of cargo trailers, boats, box trailers and storage containers, said Manager Joe Kauer.

The rules, as drafted, would still allow for short-term parking of trailers for up to two days, Kauer said.

The full proposal is available on Bridgeville’s website, bridgevilleboro.com.

Council is scheduled to vote on the proposal at its meeting April 13.

If enacted, enforcement would be handled by borough police.

Also at its meeting March 9, council:

• Executed a lease agreement between the borough and the Bridgeville Athletic Association to use the Chartiers Park concession stand through the end of the year;

• Entered a sculpture loan agreement with Seward Johnson Atelier for the continued lease of the “Crossing Paths” sculpture through March 2027;

• Authorized Kauer to apply for a Main Streets Allegheny grant, seeking $30,000 to buy a permanent sculpture exhibit to be displayed on Washington Avenue.
