Wiz Khalifa will headline the first show at Citizens Live at the Wylie later this year.
The Pittsburgh-born rapper will perform on Oct. 2 at Pittsburgh’s newest music spot, as Live Nation on Monday announced the initial lineup for the Lower Hill District venue.
The music acts represent a wide variety of genres, from R&B (Boyz II Men) and electronic (The Living Tombstone) to classic rock (Styx and Sting) and country (Stephen Wilson Jr.) A trio of comedians (Matt Matthews, Chelsea Handler and Aries Spears) are also in the mix.
The initial lineup at Citizens Live at the Wylie, which can hold up to 4,000 people, includes:

- Oct. 6: Two Door Cinema Club
- Oct. 7: Freya Skye
- Oct. 8: Matt Mathews
- Oct. 9: Chelsea Handler
- Oct. 16: Boyz II Men
- Oct. 20: Tedeschi Trucks Band
- Oct. 27: The Living Tombstone
- Oct. 31: Aries Spears
- Nov. 2: GloRilla
- Nov. 6: Sting
- Nov. 15: Wyatt Flores
- Dec. 2: Stephen Wilson Jr.
- Dec. 3: Sabaton
- Jan. 16: Slappers N Bangers vs. Union
“We’re thrilled to begin announcing the first shows coming to Citizens Live at the Wylie,” Tom Loudermilk, Live Nation’s Pittsburgh Market President, said in a release. “This is a special venue that will deliver unforgettable live music. It will bring an incredible mix of artists to the Lower Hill District, including Pittsburgh icons and artists who have never headlined here before.”
More shows are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
Earlier this month, the venue provided a preview of what the interior would look like, with nods to the Hill District’s musical and cultural history.
