Winter weather forced PIAA officials to postpone three basketball semifinal games scheduled for Monday night.

A pair of Western Pennsylvania teams were impacted by the changes.

Chartiers Valley’s game against West York at Altoona High School in the PIAA Class 5A boys basketball semifinals was postponed.

In the Class 4A boys basketball semifinals, City League champion Obama Academy had its game against Carver Engineering & Science at Waynesboro postponed.

A Class 6A girls semifinal between Altoona and Dallastown also was postponed.

Times, dates and sites for the games have not yet been determined.

The PIAA posted to X: “We are monitoring the weather throughout the state. Any updates regarding semifinal games will be posted to X.”

Games involving WPIAL teams still on for Monday night include:

Boys Class A semifinals

Neighborhood Academy (24-3) vs. Elk County Catholic (27-2) at Clarion, 7 p.m.

Girls Class 3A semifinals

Greensburg Central Catholic (22-7) vs. Shady Side Academy (26-2) at Norwin, 7 p.m.

Girls Class 2A semifinals

Neshannock (25-3) vs. Bishop McCort (20-8) at Armstrong, 7 p.m.

Tuesday’s schedule involving WPIAL teams includes:

Boys Class 6A semifinals

Central Dauphin (25-3) vs. Upper St. Clair (27-1) at Altoona, 6 p.m.

Boys Class 2A semifinals

Sewickley Academy (28-1) vs. Mercyhurst Prep (22-6) at Sharon, 7 p.m.

Girls Class 5A semifinals

Peters Township (18-11) vs. South Fayette (28-1) at Bethel Park, 7 p.m.

Girls Class 4A semifinals

Oakland Catholic (43-2) vs. Blackhawk (25-1) at Hampton, 7 p.m.
