The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra is gearing up for a new season of timeless popular music, blockbuster movie scores and special guests.

The PSO’s 2026-27 PNC Pops season is a packed schedule that will kick off the weekend of Oct. 9-11 with a tribute to the music of Lin-Manuel Miranda. Singer Mandy Gonzalez will perform music from “In The Heights,” “Hamilton,” “Encanto” and beyond, accompanied by the Symphony Orchestra.

There will also be shows that highlight the music of soul singer Aretha Franklin, Disney songs in concert, singer-songwriter Billy Joel’s hits and yacht rock classics.

Fans of America’s musical legacy will love “Ragtime, Blues & All That Jazz,” featuring jazz keyboardist Bobby Floyd.

Cinephiles won’t want to miss any of the Movies with the PSO selections for the upcoming season. It will include a celebration of the 50th anniversary of “Star Wars: A New Hope” and the 80th anniversary of holiday classic “It’s A Wonderful Life.” Also included are “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I,” “How To Train Your Dragon,” “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi” and “Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.”

There will also be some special guests with Pittsburgh connections. Actor and local native Jeff Goldblum and his Mildred Snitzer Orchestra will perform with the PSO on Oct 6. Carnegie Mellon University graduate, actor and singer Leslie Odom Jr. will also perform with the PSO on Dec. 8.

And returning is a winter tradition, the Highmark Holiday Pops, where audiences can enjoy a beautifully decorated Heinz Hall while listening to holiday favorites performed by the orchestra and the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh.

Subscriptions and choose-your-own packages are available through pittsburghsymphony.org, by calling 412-392-4900 or by visiting the Heinz Hall box office in Downtown Pittsburgh.
