We have reached the last few days of the high school basketball season with 12 PIAA championship games set to close out the season and the Road to Hershey.

We finally have out first change of the season at the top of the power rankings.

After being No. 1 all season, Upper St. Clair drops to No. 3 after losing a tough one for a second straight year in the state semifinals.

However, there is still a Panthers team at the top of the boys Trib 10 as Sewickley Academy slides up to the top as it prepares to play in the state Class 2A title game for a second straight year.

Right behind is the only other boys program from the WPIAL to reach the PIAA finals as Neighborhood Academy looks to win a second straight Class A state championship.

On the girls side, South Fayette remains on top as it has all season and is now one win away from repeating as PIAA 5A champs.

The Lions are hardly alone in Hershey representing the District 7 girls as Oakland Catholic in 4A, Greensburg Central Catholic in 3A and Neshannock in 2A are still in the hunt for state gold in Chocolate Town.

Here are the next-to-last Trib 10 basketball power rankings with overall record and last week’s ranking.
