Lily Baumgardner, a sophomore at Baldwin High School has been honored as one of Junior Achievement’s 18 Under Eighteen.

18 Under Eighteen celebrates the boldest young leaders across the region — students making real impact in their schools, neighborhoods and communities, according to Junior Achievement.

Baumgardner has served as class vice president for two years, is editor of BHS’s school newspaper The Purbalite and involved in various clubs. Recently, she set her sights on uplifting her female peers through a women’s empowerment event that brings Baldwin High School alumnae together to share their career experiences and insights with current students.

The Brentwood Middle School team of Ella McCormick and Zainab Ismael captured first place in the Allegheny Intermediate Unit Middle School Science Bowl. More than 60 teams competed at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, with Ella and Zainab, who are Brentwood eighth grade students, winning the grades 6-8 division.

Students in grades 4-8 completed a series of challenges using information from the Natural History Museum’s exhibits.

The following students made the dean’s list at Point Park University for the fall 2025 semester: Raigan Chavez, Patricia Esposito, Tara Fields, Molly Fircak, Kit Hartzell, Katie Heemstra, Isabella Macek, Michelle Malenich, Madeline McBride, Brady McGough, Lilith Mey, Joshua Moore, Bryce Mwenda, Reha Sapkota, Michael Spence, Emma Timko, Ethan Van Scoy, Gianna Woods and Christopher Rudnick.

Grace Vogtsberger was named to the Commonwealth University-Mansfield fall 2025 president’s list.

Josie Griffiths, a nursing major, earned dean’s list honors at Linfield University during the fall 2025 academic term.

Justin Gibson, a member of the class of 2028, has been named to the fall 2025 dean’s list at Stonehill College.

Megan Rozanski, Trevor Belak and Delaney Howard made the dean’s list at Wilkes University for the fall 2025 semester.

Alexa Chapla, Mackenzie Hirt, Alyssa Linn, Peyton Oeler, Amelia Patterson and Grace Spozarski made the dean’s list at Saint Francis University for the fall 2025 semester.

Flora DeFalco, who is majoring in primary intervention specialist education, has been named to Youngstown State University’s president’s list for achieving a perfect 4.0 grade point average in the fall semester 2025. Industrial/systems engineering majors Preston Zandier and Emmy Zandier made the dean’s list.

Ava Piper, a senior nursing major, earned dean’s list honors at the University of Tampa for the fall 2025 semester.

Piper Roth, a senior theatre major, was a light board operator for Slippery Rock University’s production of “Ride the Cyclone,” which ran earlier this month at the Stoner Black Box Theater.

Hannah Alonso a student at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Metropolitan Campus, has been named to the honors list for the fall 2025 semester.

Kelsey Campana graduated from Millersville University of Pennsylvania in December with a Bachelor of Science in nursing.

Celia Mather was named to The University of Alabama dean’s list for the fall semester 2025.

Mary Janetka and Reagan Shartle were recently elected to membership into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society, at University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.

Laekyn Flinn has been named to the dean’s list at Frostburg State University, for the fall 2025 semester.

Alison Chalovich, a member of the class of 2029 majoring in biology and biotechnology, was named to Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s dean’s list for academic excellence for the fall 2025 semester.

Kayla Bennett and Morgan Douglass made the Ohio University president’s list for the fall 2025 semester. Feifei Zhao made the provost’s list. Hayden Feth, Nathan Gdovic, Zoe Kirsch, Tyler Lautner, Brooke Madden, Mauro Salimbene and Ben Stroh made the dean’s list.
