Multiple vehicles were involved in a crash Tuesday morning on Route 28 just before the Highland Park Bridge.

No injuries were reported, despite several of the cars flipping over on the roadway just before Exit 6, near Aspinwall.

The crash scene has been cleared and all northbound lanes of Route 28 have reopened.

At one point, PennDOT cameras showed traffic getting by slowly in just one of three northbound lanes at the site. The incident significantly slowed traffic during the morning rush hour.

Police, fire and EMS crews were dispatched around 5:50 a.m. to the scene, an Allegheny County dispatcher confirmed. No one was taken in an ambulance to a hospital, the dispatcher said.

Just across the Highland Park Bridge, a vehicle also flipped over onto its roof on Butler Street near the Pittsburgh Zoo in the city’s Morningside neighborhood.

No updates were available on injuries in that incident.
