Beaver 3, Hopewell 2 – Jackson Reese struck out six in five innings and Derek Hughes struck out three in two scoreless innings as Beaver (3-0, 1-0) got the Section 1-4A win. Maddox Tanner doubled and had two RBIs for the Bobcats. Benjamin McDonald tripled and drove in a run for Hopewell (0-1, 0-1).
