Easter

Cook Township Community Center will host a free Easter party with an egg hunt and magic show at noon March 28 at the center, 1698 Route 711. All ages welcome. Bring a basket or bag. Rain or shine. There will be photo ops with the Easter Bunny.

Fundraisers

Music

The Yough High School Music Department will host its Jazz Festival at 5 p.m. March 27 at the high school, 919 Lowber Road, Herminie. Local middle and high school jazz groups and the Yough Alumni Band will perform.

Senior Citizen News

• A Seniors for Safe Driving class will be offered from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 23 at YMCA of Laurel Highlands, 490 Bessemer Road, East Huntingdon. The class is PennDOT approved and for drivers who are at least 55 years old. Those who complete the course can qualify for reduced auto insurance premiums. There is no behind-the-wheel driving.
