A North Huntingdon woman faces multiple charges after she removed all of her clothes and was fighting inside a White Oak Giant Eagle, police said.

On Thursday, White Oak police officers responded to a call from a Giant Eagle located on Lincoln Way for a report of a disturbance in the store.

When police arrived, numerous employees and customers pointed them toward the middle of the store at a naked woman identified as 53-year-old Tammy Canut, a criminal complaint said.

Canut was standing near the registers with blood coming from her face, surrounded by scattered and damaged grocery store items, according to court documents.

While surveying the scene, police found there were numerous children in the store whose parents were trying to shield their eyes.

Canut was “immediately taken into custody by officers and placed in a patrol car,” according to a statement from the White Oak Police Department posted on social media.

Police Chief Jason Binder declined to provide further comment beyond the post on Friday.

Police obtained security footage from Giant Eagle’s corporate office.

The complaint said that numerous witnesses reported Canut was acting irate in the store, throwing items and assaulting people.

One victim was bleeding from a scratch down the side of her face and her chin. She also suffered a puncture wound on one of her hands from a bite mark.

The female victim told police she had been shopping when she heard a woman yelling and screaming.

“During this tantrum, the female got naked and continued with her actions,” the complaint said.

Court documents said the store manager attempted to escort Canut out of the store, but she struck him and began performing sexually explicit acts before grabbing his face.

Canut then struck the female victim who was walking past.

The victim reacted and Canut then bit her hand “to a point where she had trouble removing her hand” from Canut’s grip, the complaint said.

The victim was treated by White Oak Emergency Medical Services.

Canut was transported to the Allegheny County Jail awaiting arraignment.

She faces charges of assault, indecent exposure, open lewdness, harassment and disorderly conduct.

Canut did not have a lawyer listed on court documents.

Some videos of the incident were circulating Friday on social media.
