Bria Bosiljevac turned in another dominant performance, throwing a no-hitter with 17 strikeouts to lead Shaler to a 4-0 victory over Plum (3-2, 1-2) in Section 1-5A softball Friday.
Addy Aleski, Jayla Antomachi and Olivia Gieraltowski each hit a solo home run for the Titans (4-1, 2-0).
Armstrong 13, Kiski Area 3 – Winning pitcher Natalie Ziegler homered and drove in three runs, Isabel Prazenica homered, doubled and had two RBIs and Evalyn Crissman doubled and plated three runs as Armstrong (3-2, 3-0) rolled to a Section 2-5A win. Alyssa Perona homered and brought in three runs for Kiski Area (5-1, 2-1).
Chartiers Valley 6, Upper St. Clair 5 – Morgan Vaughan delivered in the bottom of the seventh with a game-winning RBI double to lift Chartiers Valley (1-1, 1-0) to a Section 3-5A win over Upper St. Clair (2-3, 0-1). Winning pitcher Lily Duffill went 4 for 4 with a home run and three RBIs for the Colts. Alexandra Demas doubled and plated two runs, Millie Wright tripled and drove in a run and Geneva Eisinger doubled and had an RBI for the Panthers.
Deer Lakes 10, Southmoreland 0 – Joey Adams hit a solo home run, Molly Farster doubled and drove in two runs and Siena Plummer, Gracie Spagnolo and Laney Dineff each knocked in a run as Deer Lakes (3-1, 1-0) shut out Southmoreland (1-4, 0-1) in Section 1-3A. Ella Thomas fanned four in five scoreless innings to get the win.
Fox Chapel 15, New Castle 4 – Ella Eisner homered, doubled and had four RBIs, Bella Geller also homered and doubled and drove in three, Jillian Haigh homered, doubled and plated a pair and Giuliana Foley hit a solo home run as Fox Chapel (5-1, 3-1) rolled to a Section 1-5A win. Zoe Shields doubled and knocked in a run for New Castle (5-1, 2-1).
Freeport 13, Highlands 3 – Addyson Caruso homered, doubled and knocked in three runs while Addison Gourley and Grace Palko each drove in two runs and Taelyn Toy went 2 for 3 with an RBI as Freeport (2-2, 1-2) cruised to a Section 1-4A win. Myah Artuso and Allie Valasek each doubled for Highlands (0-3, 0-2).
Licking Valley (OH) 3, Yough 0 – Winning pitcher Emory Whisner surrendered one hit and fanned 12 in a complete-game shutout as Licking Valley bested Yough (1-1) in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. Whisner also homered and drove in two runs. Kylee Fisher had the lone hit for the Cougars.
Mayfield (OH) 8, Bethel Park 3 – Ella Mikesell homered and drove in four runs and Brooke Tirabassi collected two hits and two RBIs as Mayfield beat Bethel Park (3-3) in Myrtle Beach. Courtney Roberts clubbed a solo home run and Julia Bitkowski plated a run on two hits for the Black Hawks.
Moon 2, South Fayette 0 – Katie DeMarco gave up three hits, walked one and struck out 16 in a complete-game shutout while Addyson Warren hit a solo home run and Abbie Warnagiris knocked in a run as Moon (3-3, 1-0) defeated South Fayette (1-4, 0-1) in Section 3-5A. Lexi Sipos doubled and Brenna Dunn had two hits for the Lions.
North Hills 15, Mars 0 – Abigail Sutton fanned five in a four-inning no-hitter and drove in a run at the plate while Audrianna Baumgardner homered and drove in three runs to lead North Hills (1-2, 1-1) to a Section 1-5A win over Mars (1-3, 1-2). Emma Culver, Kassidy Hemmingway and Brianna Zwick each knocked in two runs for the Indians.
OLSH 3, Kenton (OH) 2 – Lizzie Smith slapped a walk-off single to lift OLSH (2-0) past Kenston in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. Sophia Wasko went 2 for 3 with a home run and Neveah Morin tripled and plated a run while Camryn Hummell picked up a win for the Chargers.
Peters Township 6, Albert Gallatin 0 – Kaylee Lubic and Julianne Adder each doubled and drove in a run while Emery Grimes doubled twice and had an RBI as Peters Township (2-3, 1-1) blanked Albert Gallatin (0-4, 0-2) in Section 4-5A. Mackenzie Chapman doubled for the Colonials.
Thomas Jefferson 6, Trinity 1 – Aubrey Shaffer struck out seven in a complete game while Zoie DeCostro homered and drove in three and Jemma Danko went 2 for 3 with a home run as Thomas Jefferson (4-1, 3-0) beat Trinity (6-1, 0-1) in Section 4-5A. Nina Christy smacked a solo home run for the Hillers.
Union 16, Bishop Canevin 0 – Winning pitcher Korynne Shannon struck out eight in three no-hit innings and drove in a run at the plate as Union (2-1, 1-0) throttled Bishop Canevin (0-2, 0-1) in Section 1-A. Olivia Williams homered, doubled and knocked in two runs while Irelyn Fisher and Maddie Settle each drove in two runs and Nevaeh Hunt doubled twice and had an RBI for the Scotties.
West Greene 10, Flint Hill (VA) 0 – Kendra Tharp homered, doubled and had two RBIs, Emmaline Beazell doubled and plated a pair and Katie Brudnock brought in two as West Greene (2-1) shut out Flint Hill in Myrtle Beach. Winning pitcher Samantha Zimmerman went 2 for 3 with an RBI for the Pioneers.
West Mifflin 9, Uniontown 4 – Samantha Tomko doubled twice and had three RBI, Mia Bey tripled and plated a run and Taylor Krivanek doubled and brought in a run as West Mifflin (6-0, 2-0) bested Uniontown (3-1, 2-0) in Section 2-4A. Graci Rodeheaver drove in two for the Red Raiders.

Brashear 16, Sto-Rox 1 – True Crawford gave up one run on no hits and struck out seven while Aiden Smith went 2 for 2 with four RBIs to lead Brashear (1-2) to a nonsection win over Sto-Rox (0-2). Nicholas Sarokon drove in a pair of runs for the Bulls.
Butler 3, Kiski Area 1 – Nolan Stefanik tripled in a run in the sixth inning and Blake Scott followed with an RBI single as Butler (3-1) broke a 1-1 tie to down Kiski Area (0-3) in a nonsection matchup. Maverick Clement smashed a solo home run for the Golden Tornado. Andrew Varner went 2 for 3 with an RBI for the Cavaliers.
Chartiers Valley 21, Hopewell 11 – Jared Pryor tripled, doubled and knocked in six runs, Troy Baranowski went 3 for 5 with a pair of RBIs and Nate Colberg doubled and plated a run as Chartiers Valley (2-2) beat Hopewell (1-2) in a nonsection slugfest. Charles Smetana doubled and knocked in three runs and Drew Donovan doubled and drove in a pair for the Vikings.
Latrobe 4, Hempfield 3 – Ian Kovalcik homered in the top of the eighth for Hempfield (2-2), but a triple from Mason Hughes and a walk-off single from Grady Ruffner helped push Latrobe (5-1) to a nonsection victory. Cole Short tripled and drove in two for the Wildcats. Evan Dunlap also hit a solo homer for the Spartans.
McGuffey 4, Avella 1 – Logan Griffis surrendered one run on five hits and struck out 10 in a complete game to lead McGuffey (0-3) to a nonsection win. Wyatt Hildreth drove in a run for the Highlanders. Noah Kimberland went 2 for 2 with an RBI for Avella (3-1).
Obama Academy 7, North Catholic 6 – Luke Ehman and winning pitcher Jordan Brazier each drove in two runs as Obama Academy (2-3) rallied from a 6-5 deficit to walk off against North Catholic (1-2) in nonsection play. Luca Guzowski went 2 for 4 with two RBIs and Landon Petok doubled twice and plated a run for the Trojans.
South Park 4, Belle Vernon 3 – Cooper Hochendoner yielded one run on three hits and fanned seven in 6⅓ innings while Ryan Spitznagel drove in two runs as South Park (2-0) survived a late rally from Belle Vernon (3-1) for a nonsection win. Connor Bergman drove in two runs and Chace Petrosky had an RBI for the Leopards.
Valley 5, Burrell 1 –Dante Taliani singled, doubled and drove in a run and Dimitri Taliani had a triple and an RBI to lead Valley to a nonsection win. Dominik Dunkel allowed one unearned run in two innings, Julian Danko threw three scoreless innings with five strikeouts and Nikolas Heakins pitched two scoreless frames for the Vikings (3-0). Adam Wass singled and drove in the only run for the Bucs (2-2).

Mars 14, Moon 1 – Katie Blake scored five goals, Lucy Balazs finished with four, Tess McGrath had three and Hailey Long added two to lead Mars to a nonsection win.
Peters Township 10, Shady Side Academy 9 – Dana Anderson score four goals to hit the 100-goal mark for her career and Abby Yates also had four goals to lead Peters Township to a nonsection victory.
