Yough scored twice in the bottom of the eighth inning to earn a 4-3 walk-off victory over Clinton-Massie, Ohio, at the Ripken Experience in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., on Sunday.
Kylee Fisher doubled in two runs, Brooke Kowalski had an RBI triple and Payton Jenkins knocked in a run. Shiann Kaefer was 2 for 3. Jaidyn Vay allowed one earned run on four hits with 11 strikeouts to earn the complete-game victory.
The Cougars (3-2) also scored a 10-0 win over Martin County (Ky.) later in the day, as Vay, Fisher and Payton Wright combined for a no-hitter.
Fisher was 3 for 3 with a double, triple and four RBIs. Vay was 2 for 3 with a triple, homer and three RBIs.
Baldwin 3, Connellsville 2 — Melina DeFelice hit a walk-off single in he seventh inning to lead Baldwin (4-1, 2-0) to a Section 4-5A victory over Connellsville (4-2, 0-2).
DeFelice also was the winning pitcher, allowing four hits with eight strikeouts in the complete-game victory. Cam Temme doubled for the Highlanders.
