Penn Commercial Business/Technical School will host its upcoming College & Career Fair on Friday, April 10, from 9 a.m. to noon at its campus located at 242 Oak Spring Road in Washington, Pa.
The event will bring together local employers, colleges, and organizations to connect directly with high school students and adult learners exploring their next steps in education and employment. Designed to foster meaningful connections, the fair provides an opportunity for attendees to network, ask questions, and gain insight into a variety of career pathways.
Participating employers and institutions will have the chance to engage with motivated individuals who are actively preparing for the workforce. Vendors can connect with prospective employees, while students can explore postsecondary education options and learn more about in-demand career fields.
The event is free for vendors and participants, and vendor tables are included. Attendees can expect opportunities to:
• Connect with admissions representatives from colleges and universities
• Network with local employers and industry leaders
• Discover a range of career pathways and training options
“This event is about creating real connections between students and opportunity,” said a Robert Bazant, Penn Commercial President. “By bringing employers, educators, and students together in one place, we’re helping individuals take informed next steps toward their future.”
Penn Commercial’s Career Fair reflects the school’s broader commitment to workforce development across southwestern Pennsylvania. Through partnerships with regional school districts and industry leaders, Penn Commercial helps students gain exposure to high-demand, skill-based careers in fields such as commercial driving, cosmetology, healthcare, and the skilled trades.
These initiatives are designed to support both students and employers by strengthening the local talent pipeline. By introducing students to career opportunities early and providing hands-on training pathways, Penn Commercial aims to help graduates develop the knowledge and technical skills needed for entry-level employment in their chosen fields.
Events like the College & Career Fair play an important role in that mission—offering a space where education and industry intersect, and where students can begin building connections that may support their long-term career goals.
