News surfaced Tuesday that both Pitt’s Brandin Cummings and Papa Amadou Kante would enter the transfer portal.
But a bigger blow for the Panthers was in store before the day was through, as promising Australian forward Roman Siulepa is expected to do the same, according to DraftExpress.

Siulepa, who joined the Panthers from Brisbane late last summer, emerged as a force to be reckoned with in his first season playing North American basketball.
The former pro rugby prospect, who also played in the Australian semi-pro NBL1 beginning at age 16, started all of Pitt’s 33 games, averaging 10 points, 5.5 rebounds and 26.7 minutes per game.
Siulepa shot 46.1% from the floor and upped his contributions to 11.1 points and 6.8 rebounds per game in ACC play. By season’s end, he was the ACC’s top offensive rebounder during conference play, averaging 3.8 per game.
The 6-foot-6 Australian also finished with 34 steals and 20 blocks, both second on the Panthers last season.
On Nov. 23, in a losing effort vs. Quinnipiac, Siulepa dropped 20 points, setting a career-high in his young basketball career. He then eclipsed that Dec. 21 against Penn State, scoring 28.
From Jan. 21-27, in three straight games vs. Boston College, N.C. State and Wake Forest, Siulepa scored a double-double.
