Community Good Friday service planned in Brackenridge
Allegheny Valley Association of Churches will host its annual community Good Friday worship service from noon to 3 p.m. Friday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 847 10th Ave., Brackenridge.
Each of the Seven Last Words of Christ will be presented by a different local minister accompanied by music. Local mezzo soprano Marianne Cornetti will perform the hymn, “Were You There?”

Free rides available to medical appointments
Wesley Family Services offers free transportation for those 18 and older from their homes to medical facilities within New Kensington, Arnold, Lower Burrell and parts of Vandergrift.
Rides are available from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays except holidays. One-way and round-trip rides are available. The van is not wheelchair accessible.
