The Pittsburgh Penguins once again assigned rookie forwards Ville Koivunen and Rutger McGroarty to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL) on Thursday.

Both players have been shuffled between the NHL and AHL rosters in a series of transactions over the past week.

Koivunen has appeared in 36 NHL contests this season and has scored seven points (two goals, five assists) while averaging 12:29 of ice time.

With Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Koivunen has played in 29 games and generated 33 points (11 goals, 22 assists).

A left-handed shot, Koivunen is in the final year of a three-year entry-level contract with a salary cap hit of $805,833.

McGroarty has skated in 21 NHL games, posting five points (two goals, three assists) while clocking an average of 11:46 ice time per contest.

At the AHL level, McGroarty has 26 points (seven goals, 19 assists).

The left-handed McGroarty is in the second year of a three-year entry-level contract with a salary cap hit of $950,000.
