It was bound to happen that some of the series regulars on “The Pitt” would not stay with the show for the entirety of its run. After all, the fictional Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center is a teaching hospital, a career steppingstone for most, not a destination.
Variety reports Supriya Ganesh, who’s played senior resident Dr. Samira Mohan since season one, will depart the series after season two.
Ayesha Harris, who’s recurred as senior night shift resident Dr. Parker Ellis since season one, will be upped to a series regular in season three.
Don’t be surprised if there are more cast departures before production on season three begins this summer.
