Not only is it Easter weekend, but it’s also Pirates Home Opener weekend! If you manage to find time between celebrating those two important holidays, here are some things to do around town that will be just as fun.

Jurassic Quest

Bring the whole family to real-as-life animatronic dinosaurs this weekend at the Monroeville Convention Center.

The event will allow you to ride the massive animatronic dinosaurs, dig for fossils, do dino crafts, walk with dinosaurs and more. The dinos range from massive T-Rexes to babies to adolescents, and they will feel as lifelike as if you took a time machine back 65 million years.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Monroeville Convention Center. A sensory-friendly session will also be held from 8 to 9 a.m. Saturday. For timed tickets, visit jurassicquest.com.

The Boys 4 Life Tour

This one’s for the millennials. The Millennium Tour’s “Boys 4 Life Tour” is bringing some of the most iconic artists from the decade of the 2000s in hip hop and R&B to the Petersen Events Center in Oakland this Saturday.

The tour will include hitmakers B2K, Bow Wow, Jeremih, Waka Flocka, Amerie, Yung Joc, Crime Mob and Franchize Boyz with special guests Pretty Ricky. B2K is celebrating their 25th anniversary with this reunion tour, and they’ll be co-headlining with Bow Wow. This lineup includes huge hits from the aughts and 2010s, such as “Bump Bump Bump,” “1 Thing,” “It’s Goin’ Down” and many more.

Vintage Pittsburgh

Everything old is new again, so head to the 12th annual Vintage Pittsburgh at the Senator John Heinz History Center in the Strip District to snag your piece of timeless style.

Fashionistas and collectors won’t want to miss this wide array of vendors selling clothes, accessories, home goods, decor, vinyl records and much, much more. Vendors include Bridge City Vintage, Jessie Dresses, Mid Century Decor & More, Rust Belt Retro and more than 50 others.

‘Paradox of Education’

Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre Company will be producing the world premiere of the play “Paradox of Education” by Ty Greenwood, opening this Saturday.

The company describes the play as “a bold and unflinching look at the cost of ambition and the pursuit of belonging within America’s higher education system.” It brings the audience into the world of higher education, where a group of Black scholars has to fight to be heard.

Opening night’s performance will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Madison Arts and Entertainment Center in the Hill District. Performances will run through April 20, so if you can’t make it this weekend, don’t forget to check it out in the coming weeks. To learn more, visit pghplaywrights.org.

Stations of the Cross hike

Exercise your body and your spirit this Good Friday with Third Presbyterian Church, which will be taking a Stations of the Cross hike through the Frick Environmental Center for a refreshing twist on the Christian tradition.

Throughout the group hike, different prayers, readings and meditations will be incorporated to allow hikers to reflect and connect spiritually. Pastor Kyle will guide the pilgrimage through nature as he tracks Jesus Christ’s pilgrimage. The hike will go on no matter the weather and all are welcome.
