Avonworth 16, Beaver Falls 3 – Alexandra Savatt went 2 for 3 with three RBIs and winning pitcher Allie Linhart struck out 10 for Avonworth (3-3, 1-0) in a Section 2-3A win. Abigail Cunningham had the lone hit for Beaver Falls (0-1, 0-1).
Carmichaels 10, West Greene 0 – Bailey Barnyak threw a six-inning one-hitter and struck out 14 to lead Carmichaels (4-2, 2-0) to a Section 2-A win. Joselyn Carter had two home runs and five RBIs and Sydney Miller drove in two runs for the Mighty Mikes. Madelyn Roberts had the hit for West Greene (4-3, 1-1).
Chartiers-Houston 10, Burgettstown 3 – Seanna Riggle went 3 for 4 with a double, triple and four RBIs and Lauren Rush went 4 for 4 with a double to lead Chartiers-Houston (8-0, 3-0) to a Section 3-2A win. Brooklyn Robinson had a double and two RBIs for Burgettstown (2-3, 1-1).
Hempfield 10, Mt. Lebanon 0 – Ella Berkebilesingled, doubled and drove in two runs and Faith Orczeck had a double and an RBI for Hempfield (5-1, 3-0) in a Section 1-6A win. Lila Gaetano doubled for Mt. Lebanon (1-5, 1-4). Winning pitcher Julia Varhola struck out 10 and allowed three hits in four innings.
Latrobe 13, McKeesport 3 – Sara Blossey went 3 for 3 with a double, home run and four RBIs, Morgan Maiers went 4 for 4 with a double, triple and three RBIs and Sophia Drnjevich hit two triples for Latrobe (4-3, 2-2) in a Section 2-5A win. Ryenn Thomas hit a home run for McKeesport (1-3, 0-3).
Mohawk 16, Hopewell 2 – Addy Moskal hit two home runs, Kaitlyn Hare homered and drove in three runs and Gianna Pezzuolo went 3 for 4 with a double to lead Mohawk (4-1, 2-0) to a Section 2-3A win. Dakota Roche and Marina Pinchotti hit a double apiece for Hopewell (0-3, 0-1).
Montour 4, South Fayette 3 – Emmy Ellis hit the game-winning single in the bottom of the seventh for Montour (4-1, 2-0) in a Section 3-5A win. Emily McClean singled and doubled and Paige Fiedler drove in two runs for the Spartans. Cam Valentino hit a home run for South Fayette (2-5, 1-2).
Norwin 12, Butler 1 – Winning pitcher Abbie Telli went 3 for 3 with a double, home run and three RBIs, Ava Minnich went 3 for 3 with two RBIs and Emma Gibson doubled and drove in two runs to lead Norwin (3-2, 3-1) to a Section 1-6A win. Kaylan Garbinski went 2 for 3 for Butler (0-6, 0-4).
Peters Township 12, Bethel Park 2 – Lili Giulianelli went 2 for 2 with a double and two RBIs and Braylin Fusco had two doubles and four RBIs to lead Peters Township (3-5, 2-3) to a Section 4-5A win. Ellery Stipp hit a home run for Bethel Park (2-5, 0-2).
Seneca Valley 8, North Allegheny 5 – Paige Volz singled, doubled and drove in two runs and all nine starters had at least one hit for Seneca Valley (4-1, 2-1) in a Section 1-6A win. Leah Carlson hit a home run for North Allegheny (0-3, 0-2).
Shaler 7, North Hills 1 – Haley Machajewski and Peyton Nichols homered and Addy Aleski drove in two runs to lead Shaler (6-1, 4-0) to a Section 1-5A win. Emma Culver singled and drove in a run for North Hills (1-4, 1-3). Winning pitcher Bria Bosiljevac threw a two-hitter and struck out 14 for the Titans.
South Park 12, Steel Valley 0 – Sydney Sekely threw a five-inning no-hitter and struck out 10 for South Park (5-0, 2-0) in a Section 3-3A win over Steel Valley (2-2, 1-2). Emma Hays went 2 for 2 with a triple and three RBIs and Kaitlyn Polk hit two doubles for the Eagles.
Southmoreland 9, Yough 2 – Winning pitcher Zoey Murphy hit two doubles and drove in a run for Southmoreland (2-5, 1-2) in a Section 1-3A win. Megan Potoka had a double and an RBI for the Scotties. Brooke Kowalski and Erin Reisinger had a double and two RBIs apiece for Yough (5-3, 0-1).

Seneca Valley 7, Central Catholic 5 – Micah Olayer tripled and drove in two runs and Danny Drennan doubled and plated a pair for Seneca Valley (5-4, 1-2) in a Section 1-6A win. Jack Conley singled and double for Central Catholic (3-4, 2-1).
Shady Side Academy 11, Riverview 1 – Sam McComb went 2 for 3 with two doubles and three RBIs and David Dillon had two hits and two RBIs to lead Shady Side Academy (3-1) to a nonsection win. Rex Roberts, Ian Stempfer and Lukas Duncan hit a single apiece for Riverview (5-2).
South Side 5, New Brighton 2 – Will Hudson singled, doubled and drove in two runs and winning pitcher Dawson Frasier also doubled for South Side (3-2, 2-1) in a Section 2-2A win. Casey Bloom doubled and drove in a run and Jaxson Zahn singled and doubled for New Brighton (1-4, 1-4).

McKeesport 18, Penn Hills 7 – Grace Mackowiak threw touchdown passes to Naziah Dorsey, Peyton Andrews and Amaya Harper to lead McKeesport to a Section 3 win. Brooke Johnson scored on a pick-six and Aniyah Hickman intercepted two passes for Penn Hills.

Freeport 17, Chartiers Valley 3 – Macey Edwards collected eight goals and two assists to lead Freeport to a Section 2-2A win. Sophia Glass had three goals and three assists, Alyssa Lovgren finished with three goals and an assist, Jocelyn Johns also scored three goals for the Yellowjackets.
Latrobe 4, Hempfield 3 – Ally Merchant and Ryanne Lehman scored two goals apiece to lead Latrobe to a Section 1-3A win.
Trinity 15, Yough 7 – Myah Agmon scored five goals and Cecelia Bristor added four to lead Trinity to a Section 1-2A win. Georgia Poach and Luci Briggs each had two goals and Avery Powell and Addison Stover also scored for the Hillers.
Boys volleyball
Norwin 3, Latrobe 0 – Ian Cristina, Wyatt Painter and Christian Reiter had eight kills each, Johnny Almeida dished out 28 assists and Lucas Giebel had nine digs to lead Norwin to a Section 3-3A win. Gabe Watson had 12 kills, Jack Menhorn finished with 34 assists and Daniel Sweeney had 15 digs for Latrobe.
