TribLive is highlighting the top prospects leading up to the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh. The three-day event is April 23-25.

Monroe Freeling

Position: Offensive tackle

Height/weight: 6-foot-7/315 pounds

College: Georgia

Freeling was a full-time starter for the Bulldogs for only one season, but the 21-year-old brings the size and athleticism NFL teams covet in a first rounder.

Freeling started 13 games last season and four as a sophomore. In pass protection, he allowed five total pressures, one sack and no quarterback hits last season on 469 passing plays, according to PFF statistics. He was penalized twice in 747 offensive snaps overall.

Considered one of few left tackle prospects in this year’s draft class, PFF graded him as the seventh-best offensive tackle overall in pass protection last season.

Draft analyst Lance Zierlein noted in his NFL.com bio that Freeling has “some buyer beware on tape,” but added that his potential has “the ceiling of a quality NFL starter.”

Freeling ran the 40-yard dash at the NFL combine in 4.93 seconds, which tied for fourth-best among all offensive linemen this year. His 33½-inch vertical was the fifth best.

Coaches voted him second-team All-SEC last season.

Key stat

34¾ — Freeling’s arm length in inches as measured at the NFL combine. Only two of the 55 other offensive linemen at the event had longer arms.

Georgia had an offensive tackle drafted in the first round in two of the past three seasons: Amarius Mims (2024 by Bengals) and Broderick Jones (2023 by Steelers).
