Pittsburgh Penguins forward Sidney Crosby moved into seventh place on the NHL’s career scoring list during a home contest against the Florida Panthers at PPG Paints Arena.

Recording a secondary assist on a power-play goal by forward Evgeni Malkin at 5:51 of the second period, Crosby recorded his 1,756th career point, surpassing former Detroit Red Wings forward Steve Yzerman (1,755).

Malkin’s goal was the 1,400th of his career.
