Trib HSSN diamond team of the week – Eden Christian Academy Warriors baseball
Coach – Mark Feldman (third season)
Records – 3-3 overall, 2-0 in Section 3-A
#Earned – There is a lot to be proud of when it comes to silver.
Silver to a sports team means you were second best. It is quite an accomplishment and proves you have an incredible season.
It’s just not a championship season.
In this decade, the Eden Christian Academy baseball program has been runner-up once in the WPIAL, falling to Union in the 2022 Class A finals.
The Warriors have settled for state silver three times, losing to Halifax in the 2021 PIAA title game, falling to Faith Christian in the 2024 finals and then last spring, coming up short in the Class A title game to Southern Fulton.
While it’s been close but no cigar for Eden Christian in its search for a title in recent years, the Warriors opened up section play this past week against a program that has walked a golden path several times, including last year.
Reigning WPIAL Class A champion Serra Catholic hosted the Warriors on Monday and grabbed an early lead in the first inning.
Eden Christian scored single runs in the second and third innings to take the lead, and then added on with two runs in the fifth inning.
The Eagles scored a run in the sixth inning to pull to within two runs before the Warriors put the game away.
ECA exploded for 10 runs in the top of the seventh inning to win 14-3.
In the rematch the next day at Eden Christian, Serra Catholic again took the early lead with runs in the second and third inning before the Warriors scored in the fourth inning to make it 2-1.
Again, a big inning late was the difference as the Warriors plated three runs in the sixth inning, then held on to win and sweep the Eagles, 4-3.
The 2-0 Section 3-A start evened the Warriors overall record to 3-3 this season heading into another big section series this week against Bishop Canevin.
Standout performers – Eden Christian Academy returned three key starters from its state runner-up team a year ago and the seniors have not disappointed early in 2026.
On Monday, Noah Emswiler was 3 for 3 with a double, home run and three RBIs. He also was the winning pitcher for the Warriors.
Both Brett Feldman and Brady Hull went 2 for 4 with a double. Feldman also homered and drove in one while Hull had two RBIs.
On Tuesday, Hull was 2 for 3 with a double, Emswiler had a hit and two RBIs and Feldman was 1 for 2 with a run batted in.
Sophomore Levi DeFazio was the winning pitcher for Eden Christian Academy.
