All is quiet on the day after Easter in district baseball as the section series for this week will run Tuesday and Wednesday.
However, it is busy as usual in district softball, including an early season showdown in Class 4A.
First place in Section 2-4A will be settled under the lights as West Mifflin hosts Elizabeth Forward at 7 p.m.
The Titans have been perfect in 2026, winning all four of their section games and all eight of their contests this season.
West Mifflin, which has outscored eight opponents 67-18, is 5-0 on its home turf this season.
The Warriors are 5-0 in section play and have an overall record of 6-1.
They lost their season-opener in Orlando, Fla. to eastern Pennsylvania power Spring-Ford, and then have won six in a row.
Elizabeth Forward has three straight shutout wins and outscored Laurel Highlands, Uniontown and Belle Vernon in those section victories, 21-0.
Last season, Elizabeth Forward outscored West Mifflin, 16-1, in its two Section 2-4A battles between the top two 2025 section finishers by scores of 8-0 and 8-1.
Fights for first in 4A and A

Two of those three teams meet Monday when Indiana hosts Greensburg Salem.
The Little Indians are 4-1 this season and 3-0 in the section. They have yet to give up a run in section play.
The Golden Lions are 2-1 this year, but in both section wins, they have scored double-digit runs.
The same situation exists in Section 1-A where Union, South Side and Sewickley Academy are a combined 5-0 in section action.
On Monday, reigning district champion Union welcomes Sewickley Academy.
The Scotties are 3-1 this season and 2-0 in section, outscoring their two opponents, 34-0.
The Panthers have only played one game and it was a 10-0 section whitewash of Bishop Canevin.
